Backward Planning
An essential and foundational service to ensure clarity and validation of the commercial goal, evaluate compatibility of business and technical strategies, and declare requirements necessary to align functions that will be accountable for achieving specific scope objectives.

Front-end Loading (FEL)
FEL is an established 3-stage engineering process for business, facilities, and project planning.  By preceding FEL with our Backward Planning service Valency Ventures significantly reduces execution risk by providing context-specific characteristics and requirements to the engineering processes.

Design-Build-Operate-Maintain (DBOM)
Project delivery by the DBOM method ensures buildability by including construction, operating, and maintenance considerations in the design efforts; and further reduces future expenses because critical decisions are addressed continuously through the project delivery process.    DBOM is the best alternative to the ordinary separated and sequential approach ordinarily used for project delivery.  Handling design, construction, operation and maintenance together from the outset results in quicker project completion, lower costs, and lower risks.  DBOM provides all essential services through a single entity typically composed of several firms.  Risk is allocated to the contracted entity.  The owner interfaces with a single point of responsibility while retaining more control over the process.

SOS = "Second Opinion Service"
We strongly believe in integrated project delivery and as such provide to potential clients a review of their existing project definition, its design and execution plan.   Our SOS has greatest value prior to commencement of construction commencement, however we also provide this service to support business and technical turnarounds.  SOS includes review of schematic plans, project specifications, development schedule, pricing, construction costs, and financing.  Please contact us to discuss an SOS evaluation of your project.
